Memory tip for 10th of May 2011

Today I want to talk on how to solve the problem of misplacing things. We often forget where we place certain things in our house: keys, money, bags, pens and etc. I noticed that men have fewer problems with this and women a little bit more. This is mostly due to the fact that ladies can do a few things at a time, while men can only concentrate on one thing. As you can see this has both advantages and disadvantages. We forget where we place our things. When our focus and attention are divided we forget where we put essential keys in our homes.

This often becomes a habit and you have to fight it if you really want to see results in your memory development. If you haven’t started doing that, you should do it now. I have mentioned in some of my posts that it is good to decide where you are going to place each specific thing. If you are in the process of doing that, one thing that could really help you is to say out loud where you are placing the thing when you are placing it. It will be connected with your audio memory and it will also help you to find the thing faster when you need it. Then decide where the place of the thing should be.
